Image of the Landscape Odyssey 2020(21) Exhibition

The opening event of the Landscape Odyssey Exhibition 2020(21), organized by the Landscape Architecture Section of the Hungarian Chamber of Architects (MÉK), the Hungarian Association of Landscape Architects (HALA), and the Institute of Landscape Architecture, Urban Planning, and Garden Art of MATE, took place in 24th June 2021. The event showcased the best designs, most significant works, research and highest quality realized works of Hungarian landscape architects after 2015 to raise the social awareness of the profession. This year, the best 77 Hungarian landscape architecture projects were selected for the exhibition, which was presented to the public for the first time in the Ceremonial Hall of the MATE Buda Campus.

It continues to be a great honour to have been able to design the image of the LANDSCAPE ODYSSEY exhibition series again this year, supporting the arduous and complex task of organising the exhibition and, not least, promoting the profession. A huge thank you also to the other volunteer organisers who all worked to bring the profession to another spectacular milestone on the 24th of June 2021.

Seven categories, colour codes, and a pattern similar to the metro network, which appeared as a representation of green infrastructure on the posters and (unfortunately, due to a misunderstanding, only in the plans) on the cover of the catalogue. Much of the poster structure already proven in 2015 has been retained, with only a slight facelift. The year 2020 and 2021 also appear as unmistakable references in the header, as the exhibition series was originally scheduled for 2020, but the pandemic made it possible to hold it only this year.
