The 15th edition of the now illustrious Urban Design Days has come to an end. This year, students from six different disciplines took part in the competition; civil engineers, transport engineers, architects, urban engineers, landscape architects and architects.
Although our students have been participating in the competition from the very beginning, this year was the first time that our university was able to represent landscape architecture on the jury in addition to being a consultant! This is a significant step for our profession and a good symbol of contemporary trends. Although the proportions (see the list of distinguished jury members below) may need to be changed in the future, our foot in the door. In fact, the proportions are actually quite good, if we include the patron of the event, the president of the jury, who is one of the great gurus of transport planning in Hungary, but is also a landscape architect by training.
And it was a special honour to represent the university at this exciting event.
